About
Başak Tuna (b. 1992, Bursa, Turkey) is an artist and designer based in Rome. With a foundation in industrial design and an MA in Contextual Design from Design Academy Eindhoven (2021), her practice reimagines everyday objects and systems through conceptual interventions. She dismantles and reconfigures the cultural and physical contexts of familiar objects, questioning their role in human-environment relationships. Her work sparks critical reflection on how design influences urban life, sustainability, and technology, encouraging dialogue about the interconnectedness of people and their surroundings.
She is also co-founder of collective funduk/q and active part of Collective ATI.
